About Lostock Pre-School
At Lostock we are committed to providing high quality childcare. We strive to offer a stimulating and fun environment for your child to flourish in our care.
Our setting aims to:
- Provide high quality care and education for children below statutory school age
- Work in partnership with parents to help children to learn and develop
- Add to the life and well-being of the local community; and
- Offer children and their parents a service that promotes equality and values diversity.
Each child attending Lostock is offered the opportunity to develop their experiences, skills and all round development. Lostock Pre-School operate within the early years foundation stage (EYFS). This framework encourages a holistic approach to development and learning through interaction with people and the exploration of the world around them. The children’s achievements are treated individually and development takes place in all areas of the provision.
Activities are planned, evaluated and implemented on a short, medium and long term basis to facilitate a broad experience and knowledge-base for all the children who attend Lostock Pre-School.
Parents can offer to take part in a session by sharing their own interests and skills with the children. We welcome parents to drop into the setting to see it at work or to speak with the staff.
Half termly we run a “stay & play” session for parents to enjoy a variety of activities with their child and meet other parents.
Key Person and your child
Our setting uses a key person approach. This means that each member of staff has a group of children for whom she/he is particularly responsible.
